Senior Staff Accountant
Job Overview:
The role of the Senior Staff Accountant involves taking charge of reporting on costs, productivity, margins, and expenditures for corporations and establishments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Examination of intricate financial reports and records.
Development and assessment of liability, asset, and capital accounts by assembling electronic data and necessary documentation.
Maintenance of accurate account information for company inventory.
Compilation and preparation of financial status and transactions reports, including profit and loss statements, and other essential reports.
Provision of training and guidance to junior staff.
Conducting variance analyses and preparing account reconciliations.
Support in financial and tax audits.
Documentation and oversight of internal controls in aid of the auditing team.
Coordination of more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or various departments.
Qualifications:
Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Proficient in tax laws and GAAP.
Mastery in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
Excellent communication skills, alongside a proven track record in accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a high-volume setting.
