Responsibilities:
Joining the Circle team as the Corporate Development and Ventures Senior Director, your primary role involves collaborating with leadership and partnering with internal teams to drive strategic decisions with the aim of maximizing enterprise value. Your core duties comprise:
- Identifying valuable insights, deals, and priorities alignment based on thorough internal and external intelligence gathering.
- Providing strategic advice supported by sound business judgment to aid leadership in making informed decisions.
- Overseeing top-notch deal execution, due diligence, and integration efforts to ensure organizational alignment towards objectives.
- Tracking progress, successes, and learnings from completed and pending deals to allow for continuous improvement.
Primary Tasks Involve:
- Cultivating a deep understanding of the dynamic financial services, technology, and crypto industry landscapes, especially focusing on emerging markets.
- Establishing expansive networks of internal and external partners, advisors, and potential opportunities.
- Initiating, evaluating, and prioritizing compelling acquisition, investment, joint venture, and partnership opportunities.
- Leading due diligence procedures, coordinating with internal and external entities.
- Fostering collaboration and consensus among various company segments to facilitate organizational decisions.
- Structuring and negotiating intricate transactions with multidimensional considerations.
- Formulating comprehensive business and integration plans for target acquisitions.
Desired Qualifications:
To be an ideal fit at Circle, you should possess:
- Over 12 years of relevant experience, ideally including corporate development, M&A, and venture investing, achieved in corporate, investment bank, or venture capital environments.
- More than 5 years of internal corporate deal experience with exposure to international and developing markets, handling diverse deal types.
- Exceptional skills including strong quantitative and analytical abilities, effective communication, and heightened executive presence.
- Strong relationship-building prowess, project management experience, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in assessing industry trends, distilling vital insights, and articulating critical drivers convincingly.
- Extensive client-facing and M&A engagement across various business aspects.
- Knowledge across the deal pipeline stages from target identification to integration and separation activities.
- Familiarity with technology tools like Slack, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or equivalent field required, while an MBA or advanced degree is considered advantageous.
Additional Information:
The role offers competitive compensation including a base pay ranging from $195,000 to $252,500, an annual bonus target of 20%, equity incentives, and benefits package encompassing medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) support.
