Need a Responsive HTML Email Designer & Coder
I am seeking a skilled and creative freelancer experienced in designing and coding responsive HTML email templates that look professional, load fast, and display flawlessly across all major email clients and devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for modern design, a solid understanding of email marketing best practices, and the technical expertise to code clean, lightweight, and fully responsive HTML layouts optimized for deliverability and compatibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Design visually appealing, brand-aligned email layouts for newsletters, marketing campaigns, and automated messages.
Code pixel-perfect, responsive HTML/CSS templates compatible with major email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, Yahoo, etc.).
Ensure proper rendering on both desktop and mobile devices.
Test and troubleshoot emails using tools like Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar platforms.
Optimize images, fonts, and code for fast load times and high inbox placement.
Integrate dynamic or personalized content where needed (using merge tags or variables).
Provide the final email code ready for use in ESPs (Mailchimp, HubSpot, SendGrid, Klaviyo, Constant Contact, etc.).
Maintain version control and documentation of all templates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience designing and coding HTML email templates (portfolio required).
Advanced proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and inline styling for emails.
Deep understanding of responsive design principles and cross-client rendering.
Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc.).
Ability to test, debug, and fix display issues in different email clients.
Experience using Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop for design mockups is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, consistency, and brand alignment.
Excellent communication and ability to meet deadlines.
Deliverables:
Fully responsive HTML email templates (source files + tested code).
Cross-client test results or screenshots.
Final export-ready version integrated into the preferred ESP
Preferred Experience:
Working with marketing teams or agencies on campaign design.
Knowledge of dark mode email optimization.
Understanding of email accessibility standards (ADA compliance).
Ability to implement interactive or AMP emails (nice to have).
