Overview
The Wallets & Funds team manages bitcoin custody for customer deposits to support trading activities, safeguarding transactions and interacting with various cryptocurrency blockchains. With expertise in wallet and address management, the team promotes compliance with industry best practices and standards.
BitMEX is expanding its premier funds and wallets team to strengthen security measures and enhance the deposit process for our growing user base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for processing customer cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals reliably in a high-availability environment.
- Enhance test coverage and follow test-driven development principles to ensure software quality.
- Contribute to architecting new cryptocurrency and wallet infrastructure using contemporary technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python development within a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with code review practices and project workflow utilizing pull requests.
- Skilled in designing and implementing software that interfaces with diverse network protocols, with an emphasis on security and concurrency strategies.
Good to have
- Deployment experience with container-based applications.
- Competence in handling significant data volumes in Python, potentially leveraging tools like NumPy or SciPy.
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency intricacies at the transactional level, including scripting, cryptographic signatures, UTxO protocols, and blockchain essentials.
- Familiarity with type-checked Python syntax, PyTest framework, and CI/CD pipelines, along with defensive software security practices.
