Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join Messari's on-chain data team. In this collaborative role, you will work closely with research, product, and engineering teams to steer data modeling initiatives and maximize business impact. Key responsibilities include overseeing end-to-end data products, optimizing operational processes, and mentoring junior data analysts.

Given our focus on blockchain data, familiarity with crypto and previous experience in handling blockchain data would be advantageous.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the data pipeline comprehensively, encompassing data modeling, visualization, and ensuring data quality.
  • Develop and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Create data models for blockchain data to elevate raw data into meaningful metrics.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data modeling, schema design, and data tools.

  • Proficiency in data infrastructure tools such as Docker, CI/CD, and AWS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies and strong knowledge of blockchains and decentralized finance.
  • Background in data science with skills in forecasting, A/B testing, simulation, and predictive modeling.

Potential Projects

  • Develop an abstraction table for concentrated liquidity protocols to empower users to analyze and draw insights independently.
  • Conduct behavioral analysis of liquidity within decentralized exchanges, creating tools to observe behavioral changes based on parameter alterations.
  • Establish frameworks and processes for data quality assurance to maintain high-quality data.

Salary Range
